Welcome to Swallow Point Caravan Park
Swallow Point is beautifully positioned, adjacent to the three mile long unspoilt beach of Sand Bay. There is a village store and a local pub. The park has all privately owned static holiday homes and is open 9 months of the year. There are laundry facilities and a public telephone on site. The park is dog friendly, completely level and suitable for wheelchair users. The town of Weston-super-Mare is ten minutes drive away and is approached along a scenic coastal road through Weston Wood, which form a natural partition between the lively holiday resort of Weston and the quiet of Sand Bay. Weston offers a complete range of entertainment and shopping opportunities. If you don't want to drive then there is an open-top bus to take you in style.
Shops include names such as Marks & Spencers, Next and Boots. There are also a range of restaurants and bars many offering live entertainment. Not to mention the traditional attractions of The Grand Pier, Donkey rides, Sea Life Centre and train rides for the young and young at heart alike. Golf courses and horse riding are other activities that are within easy reach.
The local area has miles of flat beach walking with outstanding views of the Bristol Channel, the Holm Islands and the Wales coastline. For those with a more sturdy pair of walking boots there is the exhilarating walk along Sand Point and its unspoilt bays and inlets. Walking inland will bring you to the historical Landmark Trust managed Woodspring Priory. If you prefer a more leisurely approach there is always Grandma's Tea Rooms. There you can sit and watch the world go by with a slice of homemade cake and a cup of coffee.
The adventure doesn't end there as Swallow Point provides an excellent location for visiting the any attractions of the South West. These include the historic cities of Bristol and Bath and the villages of Street and Cheddar which are all about 30 minutes away. Of course with the peace and quiet that you will find at Swallow Point a comfortable chair, good book and a glass of wine may be all that you really need!
